The upcoming Singapore Maritime Trails it’s an initiative by DMEABS Volunteers together with Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore.

Dear Members,
The Singapore Maritime Trails is one of Maritime and Port Authority signature outreach efforts aimed to let participants discover more about Singapore’s rich maritime stories. The upcoming Singapore Maritime Trails it’s an initiative by DMEABS Volunteers together with Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore.

The Singapore Maritime Trail focuses on Singapore’s Maritime Heritage. It traces the progress of Singapore’s maritime sector through a tour of local maritime heritage sites, such as Fort Canning and Boat Quay. Through location-based elements such as the Fort Canning Lighthouse, participants are taken from the time of the Singapura Kings to the establishment of Singapore as shipping and other maritime activities started around the mouth of the Singapore River and moved westwards to the Telok Ayer area and then out to the New Harbour of Keppel Harbour.

*The event details are as follows*:
– Event: The Singapore Maritime Trails
– Date: 06 October 2018, Saturday
– Time: 2PM
– Venue: Pick up and meeting point: Swissotel, The Stamford. Hotel Lobby (at the corner near the escalator)
– Final drop off and ending point: Harbourfront Cruise Centre – Coach Bay

1. Fort Canning Park – Maritime Corner @ Fort Canning (Fort Canning Lighthouse & Flagstaff)
2. Robertson and Clarke Quay
3. Singapore River (Raffles Landing Site and Boat Quay)
4. Fullerton Hotel Building
5. Waterboat House
6. Collyer Quay
7. Telok Ayer Basin, Raffles Quay, old sea coastline
8. Shenton Way to Keppel Road to Tanjong Pagar Terminal

It is a guided tour. A bus will be provided to facilitate movement between locations for the trail.
